Happy memorial day- thanks to all who served for us.
Thanks to the acorn family for the flowers and prayers- we are starting to get settled in here and the baby is growing, beautiful and healthy!
It was quite a time in the hospital. After a week long stay, Kat not only had to recover from the surgery, but also from the hospital. Uncomfortable beds, cramped quarters and nurse staff that liked to bug us everytime we had a chance to sleep. towards the end we started to get them to give us a schedule so we could plan our naps.
Now we are home and feeling better. It is a life of feeding, changing diapers, a little picture book and tummy time, and naps for all of us.

just a quick note while i'm home gathering extra stuff-
Ealon's here! We Had a long labor throught the first night and all day the next day. Kat was extrememly eshausted and she wasn't dilated enough even with pitocin so we went for a cesarean. He came out looking healthy and beautiful!!
Right now however he is being monitored closely for a possible infection (he has extremely high white blood cell count)and is on antibiotics. so we'll be there a little longer than   expected. Hopefully he'll continue as he has today and he'll be better soon. Kat is recovering well from surgery and started regular meals and is up and about.   sorry I can't talk much now, but thanks to everyone for thinking of us and sending your prayers. We both can't wait to introduce him around.

Kat is officially done with school! Now we are really ready for Ealon. Only one week and 5 days to due date! Hard to believe it's so close. well everything is ready here down to packed bags for the hospital. Kat can finally relax for real while we wait for our beautiful baby. Hope everyone is doing well , peace and love to all.      Matt

Hello again, sorry it's been so long- I can hardly believe that it's only a few weeks away till our baby arrives! we finally have the nursery situated and are basicaly ready for him. I just need to put some paint on his bookshelves this weekend and then clean the house and I'll really feel ready. I got some sort of flu this weekend and have missed a little work, but I feel a bit better today. Kat is doing well, just a little nervous about everything coming together all at once and she has been super busy with school and now taking care of me the past few days. things will hopefully settle and she'll have a little time to relax before Ealon comes. Things have been pretty tight financially and I hope that one of my job prospects comes through. that will settle both of our nerves. I can't stop thinking of everyone and how you've all helped us along, and I know one day we will be in a position to do the helping. I just can't relate how much we appreciate it and we wouldn't be where we are if it were'nt for the support of others. I just wish it was that way for everyone in the world. We love you all so much and hope you are doing well. Can't wait to show the world to our son .
